Here you can buy wax polishes for various applications
Punic Wax
Punic wax was first produced by the Punians in Carthage, a former maritime and trading power near today’s Tunis in Tunisia. The Punians bleached beeswax in moonlight and saponified it with soda (sodium carbonate). It was used by the Punic people in shipbuilding by impregnating the outer skin of their boats with Punic wax.
Punic wax is used for:
- polishing of smoothed plasters
- Stencil technology
- Glaze technique
- Wipe technique
- Binder for colour pigments
- Splash guard for lime paint and smoothing plasters in kitchen and bathroom
Punic wax repels water, is antistatic and yet remains permeable to water vapour (diffusion open). The solvent of the Punic Wax is water and therefore no hydrocarbon containing solvents are needed. Instructions for processing and further details can be found on the product page of Punic Wax. Click here to go to the product page.
Wax balm
Wax balm is a mixture of beeswax and carnauba wax. A pasty balsam is produced with aromatic-free solvent. After application, the solvent evaporates and a polishable and protective wax layer remains. This wax layer has a melting point of approx. 90°C.
Wax balm is used for:
- Water repellent protection for smoothed marble plasters
- Increasing the colour brilliance of marble plaster and wood surfaces
- Protection and care for solid wood furniture and other wooden surfaces
The mixture of bleached beeswax with carnaub wax provides a hard protective layer with a high melting point. Easy to process and polish.
Carnauba wax emulsion – concentrated
Carnauba Wax Emulsion is pure carnauba wax mixed with natural fatty acids to form a concentrated liquid. The emulsion is without artificial solvents; the solvent is pure water. The Carnauba Wax Emulsion penetrates into the material to be protected and protects wood and tadelakt surfaces from dirt and dust.
Carnauba wax is used for:
- Water repellent protection for soaped Tadelakt surfaces
- Care and maintenance of oiled wooden floors
- Protection and care for solid wood furniture and other wooden surfaces
Carnauba wax provides a hard protective layer with a high melting point. Fast drying and well polishable care product.
